Cliff Jumping in New York’s Catskill Mountains

Cliff Jumping. Jumping of a rocky cliff into chilly mountain waters. Titillating right? So where can you go cliff Jumping in New York’s Catskill Mountains?

Rat Hole in Palenville, located on Route 23A just as your going up the mountain side is one of my all time favorite spots for cliff jumping.   This waterhole is great for soaking up some sun on the hot rocks and some world class cliff diving.

If you’re feeling really brave there’s  an even higher cliff, Fawn’s Leap, up the road.  Fawn’s Leap is a 24 foot clear jump into the pool below. I spent a lot of time there as a kid with friends being “wild and free”.  Loving life in the Catskills Mountains of NY!!
